A bullet, a dome and a PTZ cover different jobs. The NVR is what stores the footage and, on the Z8608NF-8F, runs the face search.

The published recorder is an 8-channel NVR. More cameras means another recorder, or a different design.

Bullets suit an external wall. Domes and turrets suit a ceiling or a soffit. Full-colour models are the ones to ask about when the yard has no useful light after dark.

8MP bullet. The product page names a Sony STARVIS sensor and a weather-resistant housing. Read the night range there before you treat it as a dark-yard camera.

Licence-plate camera with a built-in LPR engine. The product page says plates from more than 80 countries. Mounting height and angle decide whether that engine sees the plate.

2MP dome, motorised lens, face detection listed. Better under a soffit than on an exposed pole.
Full-colour range
BS and ES models with a micro-SD slot are in the same catalogue. Local recording on the camera is a backup. It does not replace the NVR if you need one timeline for the site.
32 network cameras are published, from 2MP Lite bullets to 8MP Starlight models. Face detection on a camera is an event on that camera. It is separate from the face search on the NVR.

Buy a PTZ when one camera has to cover a yard. Buy a fisheye when one ceiling camera has to see the whole room. A fixed bullet is the simpler job for a door.

2MP PTZ, 18x optical zoom. The product page lists human tracking and night vision to 150 metres. That distance assumes a clear line and the right mount.

8MP fisheye, 360 degree view, IR for night. One camera, one ceiling. Dewarping and the view you actually watch are set in the recorder or the software.

Z8608NF-8F is the published NVR: 8 channels, face templates listed to 50,000, H.265+. Eight channels is the limit of this box. A larger site needs a second recorder or a design that says so up front.
View Z8608NF-8FRetention depends on resolution, frame rate and the disks you fit. Ask for the disk size in the quote. A camera with a micro-SD card keeps a local copy if the network drops. It is not the site archive.

What to send with the enquiry
Send the site with the request. A model number on its own leaves the lens and the cable run open.
Where it looks
Gate, yard, shop floor, ceiling, number plate. Distance and whether the camera is indoors decide bullet, dome, PTZ or LPR.
Light and weather
A lit canopy and a dark yard are different cameras. Say if the housing needs to live outside, and whether you need colour after dark.
Recording
How many cameras, how many days of footage, and who watches it. The 8-channel NVR is the published recorder. PoE switches and disks are part of the same job.

Is face detection the same as access control?
Face detection on these cameras raises an event on the video system. Opening a door still needs an access control reader and controller. The two can sit on the same site. They are specified separately.
Will an LPR camera read every New Zealand plate?
The BL-852Q38A-LP page says the engine covers plates from more than 80 countries. A dirty plate, a steep angle or a mount that is too high will still miss. Send the lane photo before you treat recognition as guaranteed.
Who installs it?
NZTeco supplies the cameras, the NVR and the product guidance. Your installer mounts the cameras, runs the cable and commissions the recorder. We can name what to order. We do not fit the poles.
