ZKTeco SpeedFace-V5L [P]: High-Speed Biometric Terminal

The ZKTeco SpeedFace-V5L [P] is a touchless multi-biometric terminal that combines facial, palm and fingerprint recognition with card and PIN backup on a 5-inch touchscreen. Suits indoor offices, gyms and factory shift entries that need fast, hygienic verification at the door. Doubles as a time-and-attendance clock when paired with ZKBio Time Cloud.

Description

The SpeedFace-V5L [P] is the terminal NZ businesses pick when they want a single device that handles both door access and time recording without forcing staff to touch a screen or share cards. Visible-light facial recognition reads at 0.5 to 2.5 metres, the 3-in-1 palm sensor captures shape, print and vein data, and the fingerprint reader and card reader are still there for back-up.

How it differs from other ZKTeco terminals

The MK-V/MK-H is a standalone keypad with no biometrics. The ProFace family is similar to the SpeedFace but tuned for harsher industrial use. The V5L sits in the sweet spot for indoor commercial sites: a clean reception-grade unit with the full multi-biometric stack and ZKBio Time Cloud integration. Indoor only. Do not fit it on an exposed entry.

Real NZ deployments

Office reception: Walk-up face read for staff, card or PIN for visitors with a temporary credential.
Gym 24/7 access: Members enrol once, no fobs to lose, no shared cards. Anti-spoofing prevents photo-based abuse.
Factory shift entry: Records clock-in to ZKBio Time Cloud and triggers the access reader on the same scan. Payroll and door log align.
Healthcare and aged care: Touchless entry to wards and clinical areas where infection control matters.
Warehouse staff doors: Palm recognition is reliable for staff who routinely have dirty or gloved hands and cannot get a clean fingerprint read.

Specifying it

Capacity: Suits sites of up to a few hundred enrolled users per device.
Connectivity: TCP/IP, optional Wi-Fi, Wiegand output to a downstream controller if needed.
Software: Native support for zkbio cvaccess (security) and ZKBio Time Cloud (T&A). Same hardware, two licences.
Mounting: Indoor only, IP rating not suited to direct weather. For exposed entries, specify a covered porch or use the ProFace range instead.
