Description

The ZKTeco Atlas Bio Series suits NZ SMEs that want fingerprint authentication on the door but do not want to stand up and maintain a full ZKBio server. The panel itself does the biometric matching and ships with a built-in web interface. Point a browser at it, set up users, doors and schedules, and you are running.

What makes it different from a standard Atlas panel

Atlas (non-Bio) handles cards and PINs only and offloads biometrics to a separate biometric reader plus server. Atlas Bio stores and matches fingerprint templates on the controller itself, so a basic OSDP or Wiegand reader at the door is enough for full biometric access. Fewer moving parts, faster reads, lower install cost.

Where it fits in NZ

Professional services offices (10 to 80 staff): Reception, server room and back-of-house doors managed from one panel.
Healthcare and dental clinics: Audit-trail entry to records rooms and after-hours staff doors.
Gyms and studios: Staff-only doors and after-hours member access without a 24/7 receptionist.
Schools (admin and staff areas): Reduces lost-key risk and gives a clean record of who was where.
Construction site offices: Site induction office, document store and tool crib in a portable that needs proper access control without a server room.

Build and integration

Sizing: 1, 2 and 4-door versions. Buy for the doors you have, scale by adding panels.
Connectivity: TCP/IP standard, optional Wi-Fi for sites where pulling Cat6 to the comms cupboard is not practical.
Reader support: OSDP (encrypted, recommended for new installs) and Wiegand for retrofits.
PoE-capable: Power and data over a single Cat6 run.
Compatible software: Standalone via the built-in web app, or rolls up into zkbio cvaccess for multi-site management.
